Burj Dubai

Burj Al Khalifa, Türkçe adı ile Burç Halife’nin 2004’te başlanıp 2010 yılında tamamlanan inşasında 100 farklı uyruktan 12
bin işçi ve yüzlerce mühendis tam 22 milyon saat mesai yaptı; 100′ün üzerinde ülkeden 60′tan fazla danışman görev aldı.

Mimar Adrian Smith, Burj Al Khalifa’yı geleneksel İslam mimarisi desenlerinden ve çöl çiçeği hymenocallis’ten esinlenerek
tasarladı. Kulenin ana mimarisi, merkezinin çevresindeki üç elemandan oluşuyor; temeline bakıldığında çöl çiçeği
hymenocallis’i andıran “Y” harfi açıkça görülüyor.

Efsane gökdelen, Empire State binasının yaklaşık 2 katı, Eyfel Kulesi’nin ise yaklaşık 3 katı yüksekliği ile en yakın rakiplerine
bile 300 metre fark atıyor. Yapı ayrıca 160 kattan oluşmasıyla “dünyanın en çok kata sahip binası” rekorunun da sahibi.

In the construction of Burj Al Khalifa, or Burç Halife in Turkish, which was started in 2004 and completed in 2010, 12 thousand workers
and hundreds of engineers from 100 different nationalities spent 22 million hours of full time, and more than 60 consultants from over
100 countries took part.

Architect Adrian Smith designed Burj Al Khalifa with the inspiration from traditional Islamic architecture patterns and desert flower
hymenocallis. The main architecture of the tower consists of three elements around its center. On the foundation of the structure, letter
‘Y’ evoking desert flower hymenocallis is clearly seen.

Legendary skyscraper, the Empire State building makes difference of 300 meters even to the closest rivals thanks to its height of 2 floors
approximately equaling to the height of 3 floors of Eiffel Tower. The building also has a record of the ‘’world’s building with the highest
number of floors’’ thanks to its 160 floors.
