Özgürlük Heykeli

Özgürlük Heykeli ya da resmî adıyla Dünyayı Aydınlatan Özgürlük, ABD’nin New York şehrindeki Liberty adası üzerinde, inşa
edildiği 1886 yılından bu yana Amerika’nın simgesi olan anıtsal heykeli ve gözlem kulesidir. Dünyanın en tanınan anıtlarından
biridir.

Bakırdan yapılan Özgürlük Heykeli, Fransa tarafından kuruluşunun 100. yılı nedeniyle ABD’ye hediye edilmiştir. Sağ elinde
bir meşale, sol elinde ise bir hitabe tutan heykelin tableti üstünde 4 Temmuz 1776 tarihi (Bağımsızlık Bildirgesi’nin tarihi)
yazılıdır.

The Statue of Liberty, or Statue of Liberty Enlightening the World with its official name, is the monumental statue and observation tower
that has been the symbol of America since 1886 when it was built on Liberty Island in New York City. It is one of the most recognized

The Statue of Liberty, made of copper, was given to the United States by France for its 100th anniversary of the foundation. On the tablet
of the statue, which holds a torch in his right hand and an address in his left hand, the date of July 4, 1776 (date of the Declaration of
Independence) is written.
