Floransa

Floransa, İtalya’da bir şehirdir. Kuzey İtalya’daki Toskana bölgesinin başkentidir ve kendi ismini taşıyan ilin merkezidir. Kısa bir
dönem, İtalya Krallığı’na da başkentlik yapmıştır. Şehir, içinden geçen Arno Nehri çevresinde kurulmuştur.

Çevresindeki yerleşim alanlarıyla beraber yaklaşık bir milyona yakın nüfusa sahip olan şehir, geçmişte olduğu gibi bugün de
İtalya ve Avrupa’nın önemli ticaret merkezlerinden biridir. Bunun yanı sıra İtalyan Rönesansının doğum yeri olarak bilinen
Floransa, kültürü ve mimarisiyle dünyaca ünlü bir turizm kentidir. Şehirde önemli sanat galerileri ve müzeler bulunmaktadır.
