Las Vegas, çoğunuzun bildiği gibi ABD’nin Nevada Eyaleti’nde bulunan Mojave Çölü üzerine kurulu bir çöl şehridir. Daha da
güncel tanımlamak gerekirse, günün 24 saati yaşayan ABD’nin en ünlü kumar ve eğlence merkezi olarak da ifade edilebilir.
ABD’nin kurulduğu ilk yıllarda bugünkü enerji ve kalabalığından son derece uzak bir halde bulunan şehir, sadece bir demiryolu
geçiş istasyonuydu. Yaşam merkezlerine uzaklığı ve sakinliği sebebiyle mafya ve organize çeteler gibi oluşumların da merkezi
halini almıştır.
Senenin 350 gününü güneşli geçiren şehir, özellikle yaz aylarında 45 dereceyi bulan sıcaklıklarla karşılaşıyor. Çöl bölgesi
olması sebebiyle her mevsim gece ve gündüz arasındaki sıcaklık farkı hissedilir derecededir.

Las Vegas, as many of you know, is a desert city established on the Mojave Desert in the US’s Nevada state. More recently, it can be de-

the energy and crowds of today during the initial years of USA, was only a railway crossing station. Due to its distance and calmness to
living centers, it has become the center of such organizations as mafia and organized gangs.
Spending 350 days sunny a year, the city encounters temperatures of up to 45 degrees, especially in the summer. Due to the desert area,
the temperature difference between day and night is noticeable in all seasons.
