Nepal, kuzeyinde Çin ve Himalaya dağları ile çevrili, güneyi, doğusu ve batısında Hindistan sınırları olan Güney Asya’da
bulunan bağımsız bir devlettir. Dünyanın en yüksek noktasıdır, Sagarmatha olarak bilinen Everest’in bulunduğu dünyanın en
yüksek on dağından sekizine sahiptir.
Budistlerin kutsal bir şehridir ve Kapilavastu bölgesindeki UNESCO Dünya Mirası Alanı, Gautam Budda’nın doğum yeridir.
Dürüstlük, cesaret, sadelik ve doğuştan gelen bir sadakat duygusu ile yapılan zor iş, sakin Nepal yaşam biçimini karakterize
eder. Ülke bayrağı dünyada dikdörtgen olmayan ve dünyanın en matematiksel bayrağı olarak kabul edilen tek ulusal bayraktır.
