Shwedagon Tapınağı, Myanmar
Shwedagon Pagoda, Myanmar’da bulunan ve başkent Yangon’un ana ilgi odağı olan altın kaplı bir Budist pagodasıdır.
2500 yıllık bir mağbet olan Shwedagon Pagoda’da Buda’nın saçı gibi Budizm’in kutsal öğeleri de bulunmaktadır. 99 metrelik
pagodanın üst kısmında bulunan Budizm’in kutsal stupa’sı tamamen altın kaplıdır ve üzerinde 4531 adet mücevher bulunur.
Bu mücevherlerin en büyüğü 72 karatlık bir elmastır.
Meditasyon, ibadet gibi alanlarda hizmet veren pagoda aynı zamanda toplu gösterilere de ev sahipliği yapmaktadır. Şehrin
her yerinden gözüken Pagoda kuşkusuz Dünya tarihinin en değerli eserlerinden birisidir.
Shwedagon Pagoda’nın temeline inen 4 tane tünel vardır ve bu tünellerde ne olduğundan kimsenin haberi yoktur. Bazı
efsanelere göre tünellerde hiç durmayan ve sürekli dönen kılıçlar vardır. Bu kılıçlar Pagoda’ya giren davetsiz misafirleri
engellemek içindir. Bazı rivayetlere göre ise tüneller Bagan’a ve Tayland’a kadar uzanır.

Shwedagon Pagoda is a gold-clad Buddhist pagodas in Myanmar, the main focus of the capital Yangon. Shwedagon Pagoda, which has
been a place of worship for 2500 years, has also sacred features of Buddhism such as the Buddha’s hair. Located at the top of the 99-me-
ter pagodas, the sacred stupa of Buddhism is completely gold-plated and has 4531 jewels on it. The largest of these jewels is a 72-carat
diamond. The pagoda, which serves in the fields of meditation and worship, also hosts mass shows. Pagoda, which is seen from all over
the city, is undoubtedly one of the most valuable works of World history.
There are four tunnels that go down to the base of the Shwedagon Pagoda and nobody knows what’s going on in those tunnels. According
to some legends, there are swords that never stop and always turn in the tunnels. These swords are for preventing intruders from entering
the Pagoda. According to some rumors, the tunnels extend to Bagan and Thailand.
